This is the easiest blanket I have ever crocheted.
So fun too!
Reminds me of a party or the circus.
I used two yarns I already had.
They sell this yarn with the tiny pom poms in many colors.
I think white would be really neat too.
Looking at them I really didn’t know the blanket would turn out so cute.
I’m not sure they even go together.
First you want to loosely chain stitch as many chains as you want but an even number.
I chained 52 for a small carseat blanket.
You are using both yarns at the same time so it will be much bulkier than you think.
The entire blanket is made using HDC.
Half double crochets and chain one at the end of each row.
I went into both loops because I like the tightness of the stitch.
For HDC wrap your yarn (both) around the hook.
Go into the stitch.
Now there are 3 groups of 2. (see Pic)
Then wrap around again.
So you see 4 groups of 2.
Pull through 3 group of 2.
There will be one group of 2 left.
(the one you wrapped up top)
into the stich
pull through 1
wrap pull through 3
and there you half double crocheted : )
I am using a very large hook.
It’s a P 11.5 mm and it makes it very easy to work with multiple yarns.
I think it was under 3 dollars so you might want to invest in one.
It’s so pretty in pink too.
If you decide to try this blanket I would love to see pictures.
