Leprechauns have very large ego’s so when they see this large hat they want it!
They like to get into trouble too…Do not climb ladder is an invitation they can’t resist!
Gold coins at the top lure them into our trap door!
To make your hat trap use a large oatmeal canister and green poster board.
I traced a small dinner plate to make the bottom of the hat.
My oldest daughters MCAT books are in the background.
Isn’t it funny she’s studying to take her test to enter medical school and I’m making a trap to catch a leprechaun!
I used double sided tape to wrap the oatmeal canister.
Next, I cut strips which I also trimmed to hold the top (trap) of the hat!
Then trace the top and cut a small trap in it!
I thought it would be fun to take pictures from the leprechauns view…
Sorry little green guy!
As to what we will do with him once we catch him- we can’t agree…
I want to put him to work cleaning my house but my 6 year old wants to serve him green beans and guacamole. What a lovely combination don’t you think?
There were many ideas online for creating similar and very different leprechaun traps.
Let me know if you catch one!
