It is Saturday morning and my son is playing Pirate 101.
I like this game.
It’s safe, virus free and creative.
My son wins a battle and I hear him yelling with excitement.
Then he tells me the other pirates said he couldn’t do it.
I tell him about the naysayers.
He listens intently.
I tell him it’s a good idea if he learns to ignore them now.
I tell him I wish I had learned this early on.
I tell him it’s the people who say you can’t do something.
The people who say it’s never been done.
Or the people who think there is only one way to do something.
I tell him to repeat after me…
IGNORE THE NAYSAYERS!
Then I tell him to DREAM BIG because he is only eight and full of life.
I have lots of pictures of Cason climbing walls.
He is always up for a new adventure.
Being eight is fabulously great : )
