This recipe makes a lot of dough!
I usually divide it between four freezer bags and then pull one out when I want to bake cookies.
The recipe was given to me by a friend and I think she got it years ago from another friend.
2 cups white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 cups oat flour ( food process old fashion oatmeal until completely ground)
1 cup ground flax
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1-8 ounce Hershey bar (grated)
2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans (can also food process for smaller pieces)
2-3 cups chocolate chips
Mix above ingredients together in a separate bowl and set aside.
2 cups butter ( 1 pound)
1 cup white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
Cream above ingredients together until light and fluffy.
2 tsp. vanilla
Add to creamed mixture and beat until well blended.
Add flour-chocolate-nut mixture to creamed mixture in three parts, mixing each well.
Separate into plastic bags and freeze dough until ready to bake.
Heat oven to 325 degrees and bake about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
