It is very important to teach our children to slow down.
We live in a fast paced world with too many choices.
When we allow our lives to be cluttered and full of busyness our family life becomes stressed.
The other day my son and I took ” the day off.”
We didn’t make any plans.
We went for a long walk in the neighborhood and even sat on a bench where I took this picture.
I did not say “hurry up” or look at the clock or tell him what our day’s schedule was.
It was so refreshing.
I noticed when we did have to go back to our somewhat busy life the next day we both were happy to do so.
It made me realize how important it is to set limits in our lives.
We have to learn to say no.
We need time with nature and God and our family.
We need time to reflect.
It is a spiritual, emotional and physical experience.
Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action.
