This is one of my easiest and favorite recipes!
You can throw this together in 20 minutes.
Get yourself a big pot.
Fill it with water, beer and OLD BAY seasoning.
Make sure it’s on high heat and wait for it to boil.
When it does- add smoked sausage and set your timer for 5 minutes.
When the timer goes off- add your corn cut in half for 7 minutes.
After the 7 minutes are up add your shrimp and cook for 4 more minutes or until the shrimp turn pink.
Mine are usually pink by 2 minutes.
Bake some french bread sliced up and you’ve got a real crowd pleaser!
For 4 of us I use:
4 corn cobs cut in half
1 butterball turkey sausage package (which really has two large sausages in it)
1 pound bag of frozen Publix shrimp which I thawed in refrigerator overnight. (tail and shell on…jumbo)
OLD BAY seasoning (1/8 cup or more)
Double everything to serve 8 people or triple to serve 12.
You would have to get a really big pot though or make two batches.
Drain the whole thing and then throw it on a cookie sheet or paper covered table.
My son also likes cocktail sauce on the side.
I just love shrimp…Do you?
