We are at the park.
My son is swinging.
There is a pond outside the park gate.
I am always taking pictures.
I see the beautiful pond sparkling.
I try to capture this on camera.
But it doesn’t work.
I am also trying to make conversation with my son.
I tell him I think someone sprinkled glitter in the the pond.
He tells me the pond is reflecting the lightwaves from the sun.
I ask him where he learned this.
He tells me everyone knows this.
But I don’t think everyone does.
I think you learn things like this in science class.
But my son just knows these things.
And I wonder to myself why he can’t learn to tie his shoes but he understand the Light Ray Model.
The Light Ray Model describes interactions between light and matter.
